                                                                                                      JUJITSU  (Gentle Art)

Jujitsu (also spelled jujitsu, jujutsu, and jiu jitsu), one of the oldest Japanese martial arts known, was once used by the feudal samurai warrior class.  It is
an unarmed self-defense system incorporating various methods of combat.  Principles emphasize kicking, punching, throwing and grappling effectively by
utilizing joint locks, nerve manipulation, and neck restraints.

Other Japanese martial arts such as karate, judo, and aikido can all trace their roots to jujitsu.  As a practical self-defense, it is taught to more law
enforcement and elite military personnel.  Jujitsu training further provides students with a strong base in weaponry and in the healing arts. Fear
management along with the civil and legal aspects of self-defense is also stressed.

Jujitsu also has various sporting aspects such as BJJ submission grappling tournaments and “Sport Jujitsu." USSJA Sport Jujitsu® is the most realistic
means of testing your martial arts fighting skills in a safe manner.  It transcends all other forms of martial arts competition because it encompasses all
fighting ranges. Players are awarded points for kicks, punches, throws, take-downs, and submissions. USSJA Sport Jujitsu® players are considered to be
the most well rounded fighters in the martial arts today.

                                                                                      MIXED MARTIAL ARTS

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) refers to training or competition that combines and utilizes elements of various combative arts. Although the founders of BCI come
from traditional martial arts backgrounds they are firm believers that no country or people have a manopoly on knowledge. They stress that choosing a
style is a matter of personality and making it work is a matter of dedication.  As a beginner you will be taught the fundamentals of striking, throwing, and
submission grappling in order to create a strong foundation.  For the experienced fighter looking to go pro, BCI can make it happen! BCI promoted the very
first mixed martial arts event in the United States that permitted striking, throwing and submission grappling for men, women and children on an organized
level... it was called Sport Jujitsu.

                                                                                     YOUTH CLASSES

“The truth about kids and the martial arts”

Ninety five percent of all situations that physically threaten children can be avoided simply by being aware. That a small child could actually cause major
physical damage to an adult attacker by using martial arts techniques is highly unlikely.  However, it is quite possible for a child to learn the awareness
necessary to avoid most potential trouble spots, as well as techniques which may allow him/her to defend against an assault long enough to break free
    and escape.

At BCI, our youth classes not only teach self-defense but we also stress the importance of self-discipline that will develop a strong character. Self-discipline
is the foundation of building a successful and productive life.  Attributes that a sound martial arts program will create or enhance are; honesty, integrity,
self-respect, respect for others, self-control, concentration, co-ordination, and self-confidence. The martial arts have made significant gains in disciplining
and enriching the lives of children who might have otherwise been lost to society!

                                             Junior Warriors – (Jujitsu & Karate) Ages 6 – 11

The Junior Warrior class is a program that teaches the traditional virtues of the art as well as reality based self defense techniques for kids. The Junior
Warrior program is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills. The building blocks for our system are monthly themes such as:
Goals, Courtesy, Integrity, Respect, Perseverance, Loyalty, Self-Control, Confidence and Self-Improvement.

Little Tigers – Ages 3 to 5 years old

In addition to our Junior Warrior program, we offer the Little Tigers program. The Little Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool age children
ages 3 through 5. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the
program is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. All classes are taught using the most
safe, fun, and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with the Junior Warrior program, thereby
emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system.

                                                       Private & Semi-Private Sessions

    A private session is a one on one instructed class especially designed to fit your needs. Programs available for private and semi-private sessions are;
Personal Fitness, Self-Defense, Jujitsu, Karate, Grappling, Edged Weapons, Impact Weapons, Boxing and KICK BOXING.  Some people prefer having a
training partner (friend, husband, wife, etc.) that they can share their learning experience with as they progress towards achieving their personal goals.
Therefore, for your convenience we offer both one-on-one as well as semi-private sessions.  The advantage of a private or semi-private session is the
personal attention you receive from the instructor.  Without the obligation of focusing on the needs of several students in a group session, the instructor
can devote 100% of his/her attention to the needs of the private student. The instructor is totally committed to the progress of the private or semi-private
students thus enhancing the ability of the student to progress much faster. In return the student is expected to commit his/her time to the instructor for a
minimum of four (4) sessions paid in advance. Semi-private students must also commit to a minimum of four (4) sessions paid in advance.
BCI members who have an existing one year agreement are eligible for a reduced cost as well as the minimum sessions required.
